  • The Viewpoint (Calle del Sol): Observation point overlooking the landscape.

<p><strong>Festivities</strong></p>

The patron saint festivals take place during the third week of July, in honor of San Cristóbal, Santa Bárbara, and San Roque.

The celebrations combine two main elements:

  • Processions: Traditional processions with a strict protocol, a different route for each saint, and an honor wine at the end.
  • Bull Events: Young bulls are released, and the toro embolao is held—an event where combustible balls are placed on the bull’s horns, a deeply rooted tradition throughout the region.

<p><strong>Gastronomy</strong></p>

  • Black Truffle (Tuber Melanosporum): One of the region’s most prized products, used in many dishes, such as fried eggs.
  • Teruel Ham (D.O.): A cornerstone of local gastronomy, often served in sandwiches or as a tapa.
  • Mushrooms: In autumn, the surrounding forests abound with mushrooms, especially rebollones (saffron milk caps).
