Moderate About this route
This pleasant cycling route starts from the town of Sarrión, known for its extensive truffle oak fields, to delve into a rural landscape of great tranquility and beauty characteristic of the high plateau of the Gúdar-Javalambre region.
From the beginning, we leave the urban area to take rural paths that run between cultivated fields, holm oaks, and gentle hills, in an open environment where wide horizons and the silence of the rural setting prevail. The terrain is generally comfortable and rolling, allowing for enjoyment of the landscape without major technical difficulties.
As we progress, the itinerary heads towards the municipality of La Puebla de Valverde, crossing areas of low mountain and forest tracks that alternate slight inclines with gentler stretches. This territory, situated at a high altitude, offers a austere yet very authentic nature, where it is not uncommon to find local wildlife or enjoy spectacular clear skies.
The route finally leads to the Fuente de los Santos, a traditional resting and stopping place in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by nature and perfect for taking a break before starting the return.
After enjoying the place, the route returns along the same path to Sarrión, allowing for a new perspective of the landscape and concluding a tranquil excursion ideal for enjoying cycling tourism in the interior of Teruel.
